MW/VSAT Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leading network activities for mobilizations and demobilization's while updating all documentation and systems pertaining to defined activity.
• Drawing up plans using computer-assisted engineering and design software (AutoCAD).
• Estimating material, construction, and labor costs, and project timescales
• Installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting communication equipment including satellite modems, transceivers, BUC’s, LNB’s, and out of band management.
• Provides assistance and interface with satellite equipment vendors & liaise with satellite service providers for high level incident resolution.
• Works in cooperation with VSAT engineer on complex issues and prepare analysis of short-term or long-term capacity needs; prepare in-depth evaluations of VSAT networks.
• Provides technical training and assistance to junior level personnel.
• Provides team scheduling for normal and off hours.
• Assists in preparing plans on schedule major network migrations and upgrades.

Skills

• Should also have experience in using (AutoCAD) software.
• Should have good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Should have the skill to perform critical analysis.
• Communication skills, attention to detail
• Product design knowledge
• Experience with computer aided design software
• Mathematical skills, experience with blue prints and schematics
• Interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical or Telecommunication Engineering.
• The concerned bachelor’s degree should be completed from a recognized university.
